The Responsibly armed Citizen must also consider the need to treat gun shot wounds and manage trauma until help can arrive. 

 

Using the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care adapted for the Responsibly Armed Citizen.

 

 

Course topics include:

 

• Hemorrhage control

• Airway management

• Patient stabilization

• Patient movement and transport

• Individual First Aid Kits

• Proper application of Tourniquets (1 and 2 handed)

• The Sucking Chest Wound: Recognition and Treatment

• Application of Chest Seals

• Pratical exercises of Trauma Care

• Choosing and Stocking an IFAK for the home, car, etc. : What you need to know
